Supporting Athletes: Supply Life Visit Matchroom Elite HQ

Athletes are known for being in tune with their bodies, especially when it comes to their diet. While this goes for all types of sportspeople, boxers, in particular, are very careful about what and when they eat. Although this is, in many instances, about "making weight", boxers also understand the connection between good food and performance.

Just recently, we at Supply Life were thrilled to be invited to the Matchroom Boxing Elite HQ.

Dan Lawrence, Head of Performace at Matchroom and Head Coach Tony Sims, called us down to work with some of their boxing superstars. This included the likes of Joe Cordina (IBF World Champion), Craig Richards (WBA International Champion) and John Ryder (WBO Interim Super Middleweight).

While at the famous gym, we discussed each boxer's relationship with food and foods that caused them concerns. We are now pleased to have tested the boxers and look forward to unlocking their FULL potential.

Food Intolerance Test: Benefits for Athletes

Enhance Energy Levels:

Food intolerances are known for causing sluggishness, tiredness and lethargy, all qualities that hinder someone's chances of performing to the best of their ability. By eliminating foods that make them feel this way, athletes can enhance their performance and be the best versions of themselves possible.

Absorb Nutrients:

A food intolerance can prevent nutrients from being fully absorbed, which is far from ideal for athletes, as a lack of nutrients can lead to fatigue.

Weight Management:

Weight is important in most sports, with extra weight limiting performance and general health levels. By only eating foods that your body responds well to, you will avoid carrying excess weight and bloating.
